Our History
In 1996, with more than thirty years of practical experience in the commercial furniture industry, the directors founded ISM. Specialising in custom joinery and furniture for the Victorian commercial market, ISM, originally Interior Solution Manufacturing, was developed with our core philosophy of “Providing the Solution for Interiors”. From the beginning ISM has aimed to work in partnership with clients and suppliers to create custom joinery solutions for changing industry requirements.
Commencing operation from a 650sqm factory in Tullamarine, the ISM directors understood the importance of building long-term relationships and founded ISM on the principles of service, trust and reliability. Throughout its history, the ISM team has embraced challenges, implementing management and production improvements and creating our internal project management system ICON. In 2010 ISM moved into its current 4,000sqm production facility in Airport West to increase manufacturing capabilities and continue growth.
As an effective and multi-skilled workgroup that encourages initiative and teamwork, ISM has grown into a strong, competitive and profitable organisation. Within the commercial building industry, ISM has developed a reputation based on our manufacturing intelligence, accurate planning, commitment to detail, high quality and problem solving capabilities.
